    Nov. 10, 2015

LOS ANGELES -- The Trojans wrapped up an outstanding fall practice slate this past homecoming weekend with the culmination of the annual Cardinal vs. Gold series, the alumni game, the program's annual alumni banquet and the USC Rod Dedeaux Baseball Golf Tournament.

First the Gold squad won an incredibly competitive and at times chippy Cardinal vs. Gold series, 3-2. Behind a nearly flawless pitching performance by Brent Wheatley and timely hitting from top to bottom, the Gold squad took the decisive game four of the series by a score of 5-0 to take the series. The Gold team was led by team captains Marc Huberman and Jeremy Martinez.

The Trojans then turned to the annual alumni game on Sunday, Nov. 8. The alumni game featured the likes of former big leaguers Jeff Cirillo and Geoff Jenkins. Freshman Solomon Bates started the game for the current Trojans. The current Trojans eventually defeated the alums by a score of 13-4.

Later that evening, the Trojans cleaned up for the program's seventh annual banquet. The event was headlined by the famed Don Buford receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. This year's banquet featured a new event, The TABIs, recognizing the best individual performances of the 2015 season. This year's winners included --
