Dempster, Dyrda and Perryman Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors|

SAN FRANCISCO – Senior outfielder Corey Dempster, along with junior pitchers Bryce Dyrda and Mason Perryman all earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention for excelling in the classroom along with on the diamond.
Dempster (South Pasadena, Calif./Loyola HS) earned the honor for the second-straight season. A real estate development major with a 3.05 GPA, Dempster has been a two-year starter for the Trojans and finished the 2017 campaign batting .271, tallying 30 RBIs, good for third-most on the team. He also finished second with four home runs and 22 runs scored.
Dyrda (Oakdale, Calif./Oakdale HS) was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic team for the first time in his career. In his first season as a major contributor for the Trojans on the mound, Dyrda made 17 appearances, all out of the bullpen and led the team with five saves. An international relations – global business major with a 3.07 GPA, he tossed a total of 29.1 innings, striking out 37 and walking just 17. He finished with a 2-2 record and opponents were hitting just .221 off him.
Perryman (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield HS) also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors for the first time in his career. A policy, planning and development major with a 3.01 GPA, Perryman made 12 appearances, six of those starts, all during midweek games. He finished with a 2-2 record and a 4.30 ERA through 37.2 innings of work. He tallied 21 strikeouts overall.
