For the second consecutive year, the USC men's basketball team invited local Cub Scout troops to Galen Center for a basketball clinic.

More than 50 Cub Scouts put their skills to the test this past Saturday as Trojan basketball players Devon Pflueger and Samer Dhillon taught them shooting, dribbling, passing, defense and dunking.

Along the way, the student-athletes discussed pointers from USC's SCORE curriculum, encouraging the kids to eat healthy, work hard in the classroom and support their peers.

For their diligent work on Galen center's practice courts, the scouts earned a Trojan badge, signifying the determination and dedication to greatness they learned from their new mentors.

The learning didn't end after the clinic, however, as the kids stayed to watch the Trojans defeat the University of Washington with class. Nikola Jovanovic scored 15 of his team-high 16 points in the second half as the Trojans capped their home schedule with a victory.
