McLaughlin Named Pac-12 Player Of The Week|

USC junior point guard Jordan McLaughlin was named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 27-March 5, it was announced today (March 6) after a vote by league media. It was the second conference weekly honor for McLaughlin this season and in his career. McLaughlin was also named Pac-12 Player of the Week for Dec. 19-25. He becomes the first Trojan to earn multiple Pac-12 Player of the Week honors in the same season since Harold Miner won three as a junior during the 1991-92 campaign.
McLaughlin averaged 19.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 3.0 steals in home wins over Washington State and Washington. He also converted 60.8 percent (14-for-23) of his shots for the week, including 54.5 percent (6-for-11) from three-point range.
The 6-1 guard from Etiwanda, Calif. narrowly missed on producing the second triple-double in school history with 16 points, 10 assists and a career-high nine rebounds in an 87-64 win over Washington State on March 1.
He followed that up with a team-high 22 points on 8 of 11 shooting with nine assists and four steals in the regular season finale, a 74-58 win over Washington on March 4.
McLaughlin is averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 31 starts for the 23-8 Trojans. He has also made 42.0 percent of his three- point attempts and leads the team and is second in the conference with 169 assists.
