DeRozan And USA Improve To 4-0 At Rio Olympics|

Team USA and DeMar DeRozan remained undefeated at 4-0 with a 94-91 victory over a game Serbia team and Venezuela fell to 1-3 with a 96-56 loss to France at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil today (Aug. 12).
DeRozan (USC 2009) scored 11 points and added an assist and a rebound in 10 minutes of action, as six USA players scored in double figures. Team USA led early by 18 points and took a 50-41 lead into halftime, but Serbia wasn’t about to go away. Bogdan Bogdanovic of Serbia had a wide open three-pointer just before the buzzer which rimmed out or it would have sent the game into overtime. USA will end Group A play by facing France on Aug. 14 at 10:15 a.m.
Lewis (USC 2007-10) and Venezuela fell behind France early and never recovered in the 96-56 loss. Lewis saw limited action off the bench and had an assist. France outscored Venezuela 30-9 in the final quarter to achieve the wide margin of victory. Venezuela was outrebounded by 16 and France shot 61.2 percent from the floor in the game. Venezuela’s final Group A game will be vs. Australia on Aug. 14 at 3 p.m.
