USC Football Adds Utah State, Western Michigan, UNLV To Future Home Schedules

    Feb. 25, 2015

The USC football team has added non-conference home games against Utah State in 2016, Western Michigan in 2017 and UNLV in 2019.

The Trojans will host Utah State on Sept. 10, 2016, Western Michigan on Sept. 2, 2017 and UNLV on Aug. 31, 2019. The 2017 and 2019 games are Troy's season openers.

USC is 5-0 all-time against Utah State, including a 17-14 home win in 2013 in the teams' last meeting. The Trojans beat UNLV at home in 1997, 35-21, in the only meeting between the squads. Both Utah State and UNLV are members of the Mountain West Conference. This will be USC's first meeting with Western Michigan or any member of the Mid-American Conference.

The Trojans play 3 non-conference games annually, including their long-standing yearly series against Notre Dame that in 2013 was extended through 2023. USC's previously announced upcoming non-league games include a 2016 season opener against Alabama in the Cowboys Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex., a home-and-home series against Texas in 2017 (in Los Angeles) and 2018 (Austin) and a 3-game series with BYU in 2019 (away), 2021 (home) and 2023 (home). New Mexico will visit the Coliseum in 2020.

In 2015, USC opens its season by hosting non-conference foes Arkansas State on Sept. 5 and then Idaho on Sept. 12.
