Charles Burks Named to Pac-12 All-Academic First Team|

USC outside linebacker Charles Burks was named to the 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic first team.
Burks, a sophomore who is a key contributor on special teams, has a 3.37 grade point average as a political science major. He has 3 tackles with a sack in 2013. He made Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention in 2012.
Kennard, a senior 3-year starter who leads the Trojans in sacks (8) in 2013 to go along with his 48 tackles, 10 tackles for loss 4 deflections and a fumble recovery, has a 3.23 GPA while getting his master's degree in communication management. He received his bachelor's degree in communication in the spring of 2012. This is the third season that he made the Pac-12 All-Academic second team, also having done so in 2010 and 2011.
Dillard, a sophomore walk-on who primarily appears on special teams, sports a 3.14 GPA in communication. He has made 5 tackles in 2013.
Kolanz is a redshirt freshman walk-on who has seen significant time in the wide receiver rotation because of injuries to USC's frontline receivers. He has made a 3-yard catch in 2013. He is majoring in broadcast and digital journalism and has a 3.26 GPA. The grandson of legendary longtime Los Angeles newscaster Stan Chambers, Kolanz also interns in the USC sports information office.
