No. 23 Men's Golf Takes Third At William H. Tucker Invitational

    Senior Jeffrey Kang and junior Anthony Paolucci tied for 12th and led the No. 23 USC men's golf team to third place at the William H. Tucker Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Course on Saturday (Sept. 28).

    The Trojans, who registered the second-lowest final round, finished at 23-over 887 (291-302-294), 24 back of host and winner New Mexico (863) and six behind second place Arizona State (881).

    Kang (74-74-73) and Paolucci (73-73-75) tied for 12th at 5-over 221. Kang posted two birdies today, both on his even back 9, while Paolucci had three on the day.

    Freshman Rico Hoey tied for 24th at 8-over 224 (72-82-71). He had four birdies in the final round, including three during a 1-under back 9.

    Junior Paul Smith, USC's top finisher in its season opener, tied for 32nd at 12-over 228 (72-76-80) and senior Ramsey Sahyoun tied for 49th at 15-over 231 (77-79-75).
