USC sophomore men's golfer Jamie Lovemark is one of 11 finalists for the 2007 Sullivan Award as the nation's top amateur athlete, AAU officials announced on Friday (Feb. 22).

AAU officials, U.S. Olympic Committee members and college sports information directors are among those who vote for the award.

Fan voting is also encouraged and counts for one third of the vote. To vote, click on Sullivan Award Voting.

Voting ends March 10. The winner is announced April 1.

Among Lovemark's 2007 accomplishments were winning the 2007 Men's Golf NCAA Championships individual title, being honored with the Arnold Palmer (national championship individual medalist), Jack Nicklaus (national player of the year) and Phil Mickelson (nation's outstanding freshman) Awards and being tabbed a Ping All-American first teamer, earning Pac-10 Co-Golfer and Freshman of the Year honors and winning the national Haskins Award as player of the year. He also won the 2007 Pac-10 individual crown and tied for first at the 2007 Oregon Invitational (March 27). He finished with 21 rounds in the 60s during the collegiate season, including three 64s and a then-USC record 63.
