    THIS SEASON: A 2010 senior, 2008 Hungarian Olympian Zoltan Povazsay is a talented middle distance freestyler who is one of the top swimmers in the Pac-10. An All-American as a freshman, he is looking to return to the NCAA Championships one more time in his final year with the team.

    2009: Povazsay competed at the NCAA Championships for the first time as a Trojan, taking 22nd in the 200y free (1:35.03) and 23rd in the 500y free (4:18.45). He also swam on the 200y, 400y and 800y free relays ... He was a two-time Pac-10 Championships finalist, finishing third in the 200y free (1:34.52) and sixth in the 500y free (4:17.71). Both times were USC season-bests ... At the 2009 World Championships, he represented Hungary in the 100m and 200m free.

    2008: Povazsay, a spring semester transfer from West Virginia, competed in three events at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, taking 11th in the 500y free (4:26.07), 12th in the 200y free (1:37.72) and 17th in the 100y free (45.33) ... He represented Hungary at the 2008 Olympics as a relay swimmer, but did not compete.

    WEST VIRGINIA: Povazsay was an All-American as a 2007 freshman at West Virginia, earning the honor as member of the Mountaineers' seventh-place 200y free relay. He also swam on their 400y free and 400y medley relays ... At the 2007 Big East Championships, he earned Big East Swimmer of the Year honors after winning six titles (200y and 500y free and the 200y, 400y and 800y free relay and the 400y medley relay) and finishing second in the 200y back.

    HUNGARY: A longtime member of Hungarian national teams (junior and senior), Povazsay has won multiple junior national titles before earning his spot on the 2008 Hungarian Olympic team.

    PERSONAL: He was born on March 4, 1988 and he is studying business.
