Mulcare, Carter, Vissering Win Twice Each In Victory Over Arizona|

Junior Dylan Carter and sophomores Carsten Vissering and Patrick Mulcare won two events apiece to lead the No. 14 USC men’s swimming and diving team to a 165-129 victory over Arizona on Saturday (Nov. 5) at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
USC, a day after falling to Arizona State, improved to 4-1 overall, 1-1 in the Pac-12. Arizona dropped to 3-1.
Carter continued his strong work in the 200y free this year, winning the race in 1:36.60, two seconds ahead of Arizona’s Parks Jones. He came back to win the 50y free in 20.21, 0.09 ahead of Arizona’s JP Beach while Trojan soph Kyle Grissom was third (20.37).
Vissering raced to a win in the 100y breast in 53.77 and then led a 1-2 finish in the 200y breast in 2:02.09 as senior Steven Stumph was second (2:02.60).
Mulcare, a two-time winner against the Sun Devils on Friday, took the 200y back in 1:48.27, 0.12 ahead of junior Jon Knox. Mulcare came back soon after to win the 400y IM in 3:56.26.
Other Trojan winners included junior Ralf Tribuntsov in the 100y back (47.86, 0.03 ahead of Mulcare), senior Michael Domagala in the 200y fly (1:47.07) and junior Santo Condorelli in the 100y free (44.17).
USC won the opening 400y medley relay as Tribuntsov, Vissering, Carter and Condorelli went 3:14.50. Troy’s A relay in the 200y free relay was DQ’d.
