Furtek Mile Swim Leads Men As UT Invite Concludes|

Senior Andrea Kropp was second in the 200y breast, junior Jasmine Tosky was second in the 200y fly, junior Kendyl Stewart was third in the 200y back and freshman Pawel Furtek was fourth in the 1650y free to lead USC's efforts on the final night of the UT Invitational at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center on Saturday (Dec. 6) in Austin.
Kropp posted a 2:09.82 to take second in the 200y breast. Her 2:09.32 in prelims was Troy's fastest this season and 1.03 off an NCAA `A' cut. Sophomore Brianna Weinstein notched a `B' cut with a 2:15.95 for 12th.
Stewart touched third in the 200y back in 1:54.20 while junior Joanna Stenkvist also reached the final and took eighth in 1:59.68 after a 1:58.31 in prelims for a `B' cut. Freshman Hannah Weiss won the `B' final in a season-best 1:55.09, another `B' cut.
Senior Cary Wright was Troy's top finisher in the men's 200y back in 13th (1:45.56), USC's top time of the year. He also swam in the `B' final of the 200y fly with a 1:46.36 after a USC season-best 1:46.05 (B) in prelims.
Junior Kasia Wilk took 12th in the 100y free in 49.94 after a 49.91 in prelims, both `B' cuts. Sophomore Dylan Carter won the `B' final of the men's 100 in 43.14 to make him USC's sixth-fastest ever in the event and nail down a `B' cut. Freshman Ralf Tribuntsov was 12th in 43.68, another `B' cut.
Tosky was second in the 200y fly with a 1:56.82 and sophomore Maggie D'Innocenzo joined her in the final and finished eighth in 1:59.80. Her prelim 1:58.18 was a `B' cut.
The women's quartet of Tosky, Wilk, Stewart and sophomore Diana Chang took fifth in the 400y free relay in 3:19.91. The men's foursome of Tribuntsov, senior Luca Spinazzola, Carter and senior Chad Bobrosky was third in 2:54.67.
