Pollard Claims Second in the 3-Meter at Day Two of the Bruin Dive Invitational

    LOS ANGELES - The Trojans took to the pool for the second day of competition at the Bruin Dive Invitational on Sunday (Jan. 18) at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Westwood, Calif.

    The second day began with the men's 3-meter competition. Junior Collin Pollard, who won the men's 1-meter on Saturday, took second with 736.20 points. Fellow Trojan divers junior Deon Reid placed fourth (695.90) and senior Jordan Gear placed fifth (652.50).

    Senior Haley Ishimatsu claimed third place in the women's 1-meter with a score of 576.00 points. Ishimatsu won the women's 3-meter competition on the first day of the invitational. Freshman Alexa Cacao took 14th with 463.15 points.

    The platform events will begin on Monday (Jan. 19) at 10 a.m. at the Spieker Aquatics Center for the final day of competition.
