Zone 3 Regionals Day 3 Results in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

Freshman diver Steven Starks used a second-place performance on platform to qualify for the 2008 NCAA Championships on the final day of the 2008 Zone E Regionals in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Saturday (March 15).

Starks was 14th on both 1-meter and 3-meter entering the final day of diving. His tally of 646.20 was second only to platform winner Michele Benedetti of ASU (683.30). Freshman teammate Derek Roth was 13th (494.85).

Starks was also second on platform at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, where he was a three-time finalist.

On the women's side, freshman Christine Petrilli (505.85) and senior Kim Popp (499.00) finished third and fourth, respectively, and barely missing the NCAA cut.
