Senior Emily Goetsch was named a Pac-10 Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic first teamer while men's swimmers Richard Gosper and Vanni Mangoni and women's swimmers Katy Houston and Eileen Osmun were selected to the second team, the Pac-10 announced on Thursday (March 27).

Goetsch, a second teamer last year, earned a first team nod for the first time with a 3.65 GPA in art history. Houston, with a 3.60 in Environmental Engineering, earned second team notice for the second year in a row while Osmun earned her first second team nod (and was honorable mention once before) with a 3.63 in East Asian Languages and Cultures and economics.

Gosper, first team a year ago, earned second team honors with a 3.38 in business administration while Mangoni earned second team notice for the second year in a row with a 3.24 in fine arts.

Trojans who also earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors included women's swimmers and divers Brittany Allen (third time), Alexis Demond, Ali Hartwell, Dina Hegazy, Hannah Ozer, Kate Polich (third time), Rebecca Soni and Rachael Waller.

For the men, James Martin, Kazu Miyahara (second team last year) and Andrew Schneider also earned honorable mention notice.

Freshmen and first-year members of the team are not eligible for the award.
