Five Trojans Named To Pac-12 All-Academic First Team

    Seniors Steven Stumph and Michael Domagala, junior Pawel Furtek and sophomores Billy Monjay and Cash Deloache were all selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic first team, among nine USC men’s swimmers and divers who earned conference academic honors it was announced today.

    To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and participate in at least half of their team’s scheduled regular season events. Also, a student-athlete must be in her second full season at an institution. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible.

    Domagala earned first team notice for the maximum third year in a row with a 3.61 GPA in business administration while Furtek got it for the second year in a row with a 3.92 GPA in computer engineering and computer science. Stumph was a second-teamer the last two years before earning first team this year while Monjay and Deloache debut on the first team.

    Sophomore Patrick Mulcare was named to the second team with a 3.32 GPA (he is undeclared). Senior Maclin Davis, junior Dashiell Enos and sophomore Carsten Vissering earned honorable mention honors. It is Davis’ second honor.

     

     

    Stumph (200y breast) and Vissering (100y breast) were 2017 Pac-12 champions while Vissering, Mulcare and Enos were all All-American first teamers.
