Four Trojans Advance To Day Two At ITA Southwest Regionals

    MALIBU, CALIF. — The USC men’s tennis team has had four Trojans push through the first day of action in Malibu. Round of 32 singles play awaits for Rob Bellamy, Thibault Forget, Henry Ji and Logan Smith as play resumes today (Oct. 21) at Pepperdine in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships.

    Opening round singles wins went to Jens Sweaney and David Laser on Thursday, although both Trojans would fall in the Round of 64. That’s where Bellamy, Forget, Ji and Smith stepped in for their first matches after first-round byes, and that foursome found success in singles to move into today’s Round of 32.

    In doubles, Bellamy and Laser teamed up for the Round of 64 and drummed up a solid 8-2 win to move on in that draw.
