Lucas Yoder Named MPSF, FloVolleyball Player Of Week

    USC senior outside hitter Lucas Yoder was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week and FloVolleyball National Player of the Week for his performances last week against Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge.

    In the 2 matches, Yoder hit .461 with 6.71 kills per set.

    He had a match-high 28 kills while hitting .404 and added 6 digs and 2 blocks in the unranked Trojans' 4-set home opener upset over No. 3 Long Beach State on Jan. 11. He then added a match-best 19 kills while hitting .552 in a 3-set hom loss to No. 13 CSUN.

    It is Yoder's second MPSF weekly award in his career.

    Yoder currently is hitting .401 in 2017 with 104 kills and 28 digs. He is second nationally in kills average per set (5.20) and points average per set (5.53).
