Ex-USC All-Americans Riley McKibbin, Murphy Troy Help USA Win NORCECA Tourney

    Former USC men's volleyball All-Americans Riley McKibbin and Murphy Troy helped the U.S. Men's National Team win the NORCECA Tournament in Colorado Springs, Colo., and qualify for the 2014 FIVB World Championship on Aug. 30-Sept. 21 in Poland.

    McKibbin at setter and Troy at opposite hitter each started two of the U.S. team's four matches at the NORCECA tourney.

    The U.S. posted 3-0 sweeps over St. Lucia, Guatemala, Haiti and then again over Guatemala in the final.

    McKibbin started against St. Lucia and Haiti. Troy started in the first Guatemala match and had 8 kills and 2 blocks, then started versus Haiti while getting a match-high 9 kills with 2 blocks and 3 aces.

    McKibbin and Troy led USC to the 2009 and 2011 NCAA Final Fours. McKibbin was an All-American first teamer in 2011, while Troy was so honored in both 2009 and 2011 (he was the 2011 AVCA National Player of the Year).
