USC men's water polo's banner class of talent for 2014 has grown now star brighter with the recent signing of Lazar Pasuljevic to a national letter of intent, head coach Jovan Vavic has announced. Pasuljevic makes it a baker's dozen for the 2014 incoming class of Trojan freshman, standing as the 13th to sign on for duty at Troy next season.

Pasuljevic comes to USC from Montenegro, where he has starred in the club program of Jadran -- the same club that Jovan Vavic played for growing up in Herceg Novi. A 6-foot driver, Pasulijevic also is a member of Montenegro's Junior National Team and recently competed at the European Championships.

"Lazar is an impact player for sure," Vavic said of Pasuljevic. "He's very wiry and plays a lot like Kostas Genidounias. He's very intelligent and a very good defender. He's a player who can connect the dots."

Pasuljevic will join his 12 fellow freshmen -- McQuin Baron, Ben Goncharenko, Bryce Hoerman, Brock Hudnut, Chase Koplow, Andrew Mericle, Tristan Reinhardt, Jake Sanders, Murphy Slater, Grant Stein, Zack Traversi and James Walters -- for the 2014 season to come, as the Trojans go in hot pursuit of a seventh straight national championship.
