USC’s Marin Dasic Notches Another MPSF Newcomer of the Week Award

    Nov. 7, 2016

True freshman Marin Dasic contributed three goals, two assists and two steals in No. 2-ranked USC’s powerful 19-1 win over San Jose State. For his all-around efforts in USC’s 11th consecutive win, Dasic has picked up his second selection as MPSF Newcomer of the Week

Against the Spartans, Dasic struck twice in the first quarter and served up the assist to start the second frame to set USC on its path to victory. His hat trick was completed in the fourth, and USC would wrap a 19-1 win. Dasic had been averaging just a goal a game entering this contest, and his three-goal outing marks a career high for the freshman. USC improved to 19-1 overall with the win.

Next, Dasic and the Trojans set up for a bigtime battle this weekend, as USC hosts undefeated crosstown rival UCLA in a fight for the top of the MPSF standings. The Trojans and the Bruins are set to clash at 11 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 12) at Uytengsu Aquatics Center. Admission is free!
