Women of Troy Tapped For 14 Televised Games In 2015-16 Regular Season

USC head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke and the Trojans are looking for another Pac-12 Tournament trophy this season!
    Sept. 21, 2015

The USC women’s basketball team is slated to appear on Pac-12 Networks 14 times during the 2015-16 regular season. All but two conference games are tapped for TV in the season to come, as announced by the Pac-12 today (Sept. 21). Head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke's Women of Troy are due to open their 2015-16 campaign on November 8 with an exhibition game against CSU San Marcos at the Galen Center.

USC’s first official action comes up a week later on Nov. 13 when the Trojans host Hope International at 12 p.m. in a doubleheader day with the USC men at the Galen Center. Three days after that, the USC women remain at home for a 4 p.m. showdown against Santa Clara on Nov. 16 — another doubleheader event with the USC men’s squad.

The Women of Troy will spend plenty of time at the Galen Center in 2015. After a three-game stint (Nov. 22-24) up in Spokane, Wash., for competition in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge, USC has a rendezvous back east to finish off the Hall of Fame Challenge with a Nov. 29 matchup against Iona at the Mohegan Sun Arena. From there, the Trojans will remain embedded at home for the remainder of nonconference play. Southern Utah (Dec. 4), UNLV (Dec. 6) and Long Beach State (Dec. 13) are all tabbed to trek to Troy in early December.

In the run-up to the holidays, USC will continue its home stretch as host of the Women of Troy Classic (Dec. 18 & 20), which brings Florida A&M, Albany and UC Davis to Galen Center for more nonconference competition. On Dec. 28, the Trojans host UC Irvine at 7 p.m. in the final nonconference tune-up before Pac-12 play gets underway.

Conference action is where Trojan fans will get plenty of opportunities to catch the Women of Troy on TV. USC is looking to make a statement in Pac-12 play this season, and what better way to get things underway than by opening conference action against rival UCLA? That 7 p.m. clash on Dec. 30 in Westwood also marks USC’s Pac-12 Networks debut for the season.

The Trojans and the Bruins will square off twice within a two-week span, keeping the crosstown rivalry alive and well as UCLA comes right back over to Galen Center on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m.

USC also has hot home stands set up against the Oregon schools (Jan. 2 & 4), Washington schools (Feb. 12 & 14) and the Arizona schools (Feb. 26 & 28). Stanford and Cal are also coming to town for games at Galen Center on Jan. 22 and 24, respectively.

The 2016 Pac-12 Tournament will run March 3-6 at KeyArena in Seattle, and all games will be televised. March 3-5 games will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks, with the Pac-12 title match set to air on ESPN. USC won the program’s first-ever Pac-12 Tournament championship in 2014.
