    Feb. 13, 2017

Sophomore Robynn Ree, a shot out of first, and senior Tiffany Chan both fired 1-under 70s to lead No. 2 USC in the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Monday (Feb. 13) at the Palos Verdes (Calif.) G.C., as the Trojans sit just two strokes out of first.

    USC combined for a 2-under 282 and will start the final 18 holes at 1-under 567 (285-282), two strokes behind Florida, which posted a round-best 9-under 275.

Ree, looking for her second straight win, is one back of Gator Kelly Grassel at 4-under 138 (68-70). All four of Ree’s second-round birdies came during a stretch between the 10th and 13th holes.

Senior Victoria Morgan moved into a tie for eighth at par 142 (70-72) after a four-birdie round. Fellow seniors Gabriella Then (73-71) and Chan (74-70) are tied for 17th at 2-over 144. Chan had five birdies during her 1-under round.
