Trojans Finish Fifth At Pac-12s, Morgan, Ree Named First Team All-Conference

    Senior Victoria Morgan matched her season-best round, freshman Muni He joined her under par today while senior Tiffany Chan secured a top 10 finish as No. 7 USC finished the 2017 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships on a high note on Wednesday (April 26) at the Sewailo G.C. in Tucson, Ariz.

    USC took fifth at 30-over 894 (304-303-287), wrapping the three-day event with a 1-under final round, tied for best of the day with UCLA, which won the Pac-12 title at 2-under 862.

    Following the championships, the Pac-12 announced its All-Pac-12 squad with Morgan and sophomore Robynn Ree earning all-conference first team honors. It is Morgan's first All-Pac-12 honor and the second straight first team nod for Ree. Senior Gabriella Then was tabbed an All-Pac-12 honorable mention pick for the second year in a row after being a second teamer in 2015.

    Chan notched her first top 10 finish this season with a tie for seventh at 4-over 220 (75-70-75), finishing her final round with four birdies against seven bogeys.

    Morgan rallied into the top 20 with a tie for 19that 10-over 226 (77-80-69) thanks to a 3-under Wednesday. She was 2-over through 12 holes before ripping off five birdies over her final six holes for her best 18 holes since the first round of the season-opener in September.

    Ree tied for 22nd at 12-over 228 (78-78-72), her final round featuring two birdies and two bogeys. He moved into the top 30 for a tie for 28that 13-over 229 (78-80-71) thanks to a 1-under finale that saw three birdies, including on her final hole. Senior Gabriella Then finished tied for 33rd at 15-over 231 (74-75-82).



    The Trojans will learn their NCAA Regional fate on Thursday when the NCAA announces the 72-team field beginning at 8 a.m. PT, broadcast live on Golf Channel.
