Ree Ties For Individual Lead At Nanea Pac-12 Preview

    Sophomore Robynn Ree fired a 36-hole, 3-under 143 to grab a share of first place, leading a trio of Trojans playing individually at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview at the Nanea G.C. in Kailua, Kona on Monday (Oct. 24).

    The Trojans are playing shorthanded as the senior quartet of Gabriella Then, Victoria Morgan, Karen Chung and Tiffany Chan just finished n Venice, Fla., where they played through the weekend at the LPGA's second stage of Q School. Chung and Chan advanced to the third and final stage.

    Ree was focused on getting her first win of the season today and put together rounds of 70 and 73 to join a three-way tie for first. Her first round was dotted with four birdies against a bogey and she had four birdies in her par second round.

    Freshman Allisen Corpuz, from neighbor island Oahu but playing this course for the first time, is tied for 13th at 3-over 149 (70-79). She had five birdies during her 3-under first round.

    Senior Elizabeth Doty is tied for 43rd at 12-over 158 (79-79).

    Final round action is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. PT.
