Victoria Morgan Named Pac-12 All-Academic First Team

    Redshirt senior Victoria Morgan, who earned WGCA All-American honorable mention honors while helping the No. 6 USC women’s golf team reach the NCAA Championships semifinals this year, was selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic first team, leading four Trojan women’s and men’s golfers who earned conference academic awards.

    Morgan, a first-year starter as a fifth-year senior who also earned All-Pac-12 first team notice, boasted a 3.78 GPA while graduating with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law and working toward a second degree in East Asian Studies. She had a team-best four top 8 finishes this season, six top 15 finishes and eight in the top 20 while finishing second on the team in stroke average at 73.80.

    Seniors Gabriella Then and Tiffany Chan, who both graduated in May, earned honorable mention honors. It was Then’s third such honor and the first for Chan.

    Chan, who led USC at the NCAA championships with a tie for eighth, finished with a 74.60 stroke average this year while Then, with two top 10 results this year, finished with a 74.78 stroke average.

    Sophomore Justin Suh on USC’s men’s team, which reached the NCAA Championships quarterfinals after five wins this season, also earned conference academic honorable mention honors. He finished third on the squad with a 71.17 stroke average with six top 10 finishes and nine in the top 20, including a tie for 19th at the NCAA Championships.
