Kim, Park, Help Lead USA To 13-7 Curtis Cup Win

    Trojan All-Americans Kyung Kim and Annie Park teamed up with six fellow Americans, including a pair of Bruins, and helped the U.S. dominate the squad from Great Britain and Ireland to regain the Curtis Cup with a 13-7 victory on Sunday (June 8) in St. Louis.

    Both Kim and Park finished their Curtis Cup debuts with 3-1 records, which included match-play competitions in Four-Ball, Foursomes and Singles.

    On Sunday, Park defeated English golfer Gabriella Cowley, 5 & 4, while Kim suffered her only loss of the weekend, 3 & 2, to British golfer Georgia Hall. Kim teamed with Bruin Erynne Lee in Saturday's Foursomes to defeat Eilidh Briggs and Cowley, 3 & 2, and also teamed with UCLA's Alison Lee to beat Hall and Stephanie Meadow, 4 & 2, in Four Ball while Park and Erynne Lee fell to Annabel Dimmock and Bronte Law, 1 up.

    Both Kim and Park also contributed wins in Friday's action.

    The Curtis Cup Match is a biennial competition between the USA and GB&I that dates to 1932 and is conducted by the United States Golf Association (USGA) and Ladies Golf Union (LGU).
