LOS ANGELES -- The upcoming USC-Northwestern women's lacrosse game will be played at an off-campus neutral location due to impending inclement weather conditions head coach Lindsey Munday announced today. The No. 4-ranked Trojans and the No. 9 Wildcats will now meet at noon PT on Saturday (Feb. 18) at Murdock Stadium on the campus of El Camino Community College in Torrance, Calif.

Due to a forecasted rainstorm this weekend, playing conditions at McAlister Field--the Trojans' home field--may not be safe and/or suitable for use. Recently renovated, Murdock Stadium features a synthetic all-weather surface. Live stats and a live stream (pending confirmation) will still be provided for the game.

The Trojans (1-0) won their season opener, 20-2, against Mountain Pacific Sports Federation foe Saint Mary's College on Saturday (Feb. 11). USC is the defending MPSF regular-season and tournament champion and is coming off a season in which it advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time in program history. The Wildcats (2-1) earned victories over Canisius and Notre Dame, but fell, 11-10, in overtime, at Colorado on Sunday (Feb. 12). Northwestern leads the all-time series with USC, 3-1. The Women of Troy claimed their first win last spring (April 15) with a 14-11 victory in Evanston, Ill.
