LOS ANGELES - The USC women's lacrosse team will break the seal on the 2014-15 season this weekend as it travels east to take part in a pair of fall-ball tournaments. The Women of Troy will start in Manhasset, N.Y., and take on five teams at Manhasset High School on Saturday (Oct. 18). On Sunday, Oct. 19, USC heads to Princeton, N.J., for two more games on Sherrerd Field at Class of 1952 Stadium.

The Trojans' Saturday schedule begins at 12:15 p.m. ET against Michigan. USC then takes on Fairfield at 1 p.m. Both games will take place at St. Mary's Field. The Trojans will take on Massachusetts at 2:30 p.m. at Manhasset High School's Field 2. The Trojans and Connecticut will play at 4 p.m. at Manhasset Stadium and then returns to Field 2 to take on Sacred Heart at 4:45 p.m. to conclude the day.

The Oct. 18 play day is organized and sponsored by the Diane Whipple Foundation in conjunction with the Manhasset Coalition for Breast Cancer in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

On Sunday, USC opens up against Princeton at 9:30 a.m. ET and will face Rutgers at 11:30 a.m. in the Princeton Women's Lacrosse Fall Ball Tournament. Each of those games will be two 25-minute halves with a five-minute halftime.

Last spring, the Trojans (9-9 overall) finished with a 6-3 record in conference games and made their second appearance in the MPSF tournament. In just its second season, USC set a new program record with a four-game winning streak, and earned its first-ever win over a ranked opponent when the Trojans upset No. 13 Stanford, 11-10, on April 20, at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
