No. 11 Women of Troy completed their 2008 season with a fourth place finish in the varsity eight petite final at the NCAA Championships, held in Lake Natoma, Calif, May 30-June 1.

USC, coming out of lane three, held steady at the fourth place position at the beginning of the race, jumped into the third place at the second split, but was overtaken by Washington State and finished in fourth with a time of 6:43.32.

The petite final determines places seven through twelve of the varsity eight comeptition and Harvard came in first with a time of 6:35.30, putting them in seventh overall. Virginia took second with a time of 6:38.52, thereby claiming eighth overall. Washington State came in at 6:42.40 taking third and ninth overall. The Women of Troy clocked in next at 6:43.32, finishing in fourth and tenth overall. USC was followed by Michigan in sixth with 6:45.92 and Princeton at 6:45.04.

Yale won the varsity eight grand final with a time of 6:42.42 and Brown won the overall team NCAA title.
