No. 8 USC To Host No. 12 UCLA in Annual Rivalry Dual

    LOS ANGELES - The eighth-ranked USC women’s rowing team hosts No. 12 UCLA in the annual crosstown rivalry dual on Saturday, May 3, at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, Calif. The Women of Troy hold an undefeated 12-0 mark in the dual and USC’s varsity eight has never lost against the Bruins in the annual head-to-head race. In addition to the three NCAA varsity boats, each team will pit its novice eight crew and a second varsity four against each other.

    The racing gets started at 8:20 a.m. PT with the second varsity four race. The novice eights will take to the water for their battle at 8:40 a.m., followed by the varsity four at 9 a.m. The second varsity eights will go at 9:20 a.m. and the day concludes with the varsity eight race at 9:40 a.m.

    Last year, USC earned a 6-1 win over the Bruins and surrendered its only point in the novice eight race. Following the annual dual, the Trojans will turn their attention to the Pac-12 Championships set for May 18 on the waters of Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. Please visit for more information.

    1. Take 110 South
    2. Exit C Street
    3. Make a RIGHT at the stop sign at Figueroa.
    4. Make a LEFT on Harry Bridges
    5. Make a RIGHT on Avalon
    6. Make a LEFT on Water Street
    7. Make a RIGHT on Yacht Street
    8. The boathouse is on the left, past the fire station
