LOS ANGELES - The 14th-ranked USC women's rowing team will pit its speed against five top-20 crews at the 2015 Pac-12 Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 17, on the waters of Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. The Pac-12 Networks will air a tape-delayed broadcast of the championships on Saturday, May 23, at 11:30 a.m. PT.

The women's championship will be contested concurrently with the men's championship. The Pac-12 regatta will use a seven-lane course with finals-only races. There will be no women's novice race this year. The women's championship begins with the third varsity eight final at 9:15 a.m. PT.

The varsity four is set to go off at 9:45 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 10:15 a.m., and the varsity eight at 10:45 a.m. The awards ceremony is set for 11:45 a.m.

Six out of seven of the Pac-12's women's crews are ranked in the May 11 CRCA/USRowing Coaches Top 20 Poll. Washington heads the group ranked at No. 2 with California at No. 4. Both teams have two first-place votes. Two-time defending NCAA champion Ohio State is ranked No. 1. No. 6 Stanford and No. 7 Washington State give the Pac-12 four teams in the top 10 alone. USC is ranked 14th with UCLA at No. 17. Oregon State sits outside the top 20, but has enough votes to rank No. 21 were the poll to extend beyond 20.

Last year, the Women of Troy finished fifth in the final team standings with 18.5 points. The Trojans' varsity eight took fourth place in its final with the 2V8 and the varsity four in sixth place in each of its respective races. The novice eight finished in seventh place.

Stanford returns to Natoma as the defending conference champion, but California has won eight of the last 10 conference titles. The only two crowns the Golden Bears did not win were last year, and in 2007 when the Women of Troy won their first and only team title. Four Trojan boats have won individual Pac-12 championships. USC owns varsity four titles from 1998 and 2005, and varsity eight crowns from 2007 and 2013.
