INDIANAPOLIS - USC women’s rowing senior Vineta Moca and junior Krisztina Gyimes were each named to the 2014 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-West Region teams on Tuesday, May 27. A two-time CRCA All-American, Moca earned her third overall regional honor as a member of the second team. She was a first-team honoree in 2013 and a second-team selection in 2012. Gyimes repeats as a first-team regional selection. She was also an All-American in 2013. The two selections are the 45th and 46th all-time for the Women of Troy.

Moca has stroked the varsity eight in each of the last three seasons and helped the Trojans earn their fourth straight Jessop-Whittier Cup championship at the San Diego Crew Classic. She has also never lost to rival UCLA in the annual dual as she helped the Women of Troy to a 13th straight win in the head-to-head. Gyimes has occupied the seventh seat in the varsity eight since her arrival on campus last year. She has been instrumental in USC’s success this season in the top boat with one of the top ergometer times on the squad.

The 11th-ranked Women of Troy are in Indianapolis to take part in the 2014 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships at Eagle Creek Park, May 30-June 1. Last year, USC claimed a program-best fourth-place finish at the national championship regatta.
