CORVALLIS, Ore. - The USC women's soccer team had another heroic finish, this time as Alex Quincey stepped up with the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Trojans a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at a rainy Oregon State on Sunday afternoon.

"I am extremely proud of this win because of the incredibly difficult conditions," said head coach Keidane McAlpine. "It was a hard-fought game against an OSU team that has an unbelievable spirit about them. This is the time of the year that you just have to make a way and we did."

The Trojans (10-5-2, 4-4 Pac-12) went down 1-0 in the 49', as the Beavers (0-14-3, 0-8 Pac-12) got on the board first. Miranda Stiver put away the ball, as it was bouncing around the box, and got the ricochet off a Trojan defender into the goal.

Just four minutes later, however, the Trojans answered as Whitney Pitalo scored her first goal of the season, finding a way to get her head on the receiving end of a Jamie Fink corner kick to tie things up 1-1. The goal was her first of the season and third of her career.

The Trojans bombarded the Beavers' goal in the final 10 minutes, looking for the equalizer, but they were unable to find the back of the net, so they headed to overtime for the second-straight game.

Six minutes into the first overtime period, Quincey delivered the game-winner, as she moved past the goalie and hammered the ball home into the open net for her team-leading 10th goal of the year. It was also her fourth game-winning goal.

The Trojans return to Los Angeles for the week, before heading back out onto the road, travelling to Washington on Friday, Oct. 31 and Washington State on Sunday, Nov. 2.
