WESTWOOD, CALIF. -- The USC women's soccer team became the first team to score on UCLA's home turf tonight, but the No. 2 Bruins had an answer, finishing up with a 4-1 win over the visiting Trojans at Drake Stadium. The loss wraps the USC season at 8-10-2 overall with a 3-7-1 finish in Pac-12 play, while Pac-12 champion UCLA goes to 17-1-2 overall with a 9-0-2 Pac-12 mark.

The Women of Troy were on their possession game out of the gates, and their efforts were rewarded in the 14th minute. After Katie Johnson was taken down on the left side, Kayla Mills set up for the free kick. She'd deliver the ball into the box, where Marlee Carrillo redirected it to the left. Jamie Fink pounced right on the opportunity, and smashed the ball home for the finish and a 1-0 USC lead. That goal marked the first allowed by the Bruin defense all year on their home field. Mills' assist on the goal marked the freshman's eight of the year, marking the sixth most by a Trojan in a single season. The goal from Fink was the sophomore's fifth of 2013, good for the second most on the team this season.

But the No. 2 team in the nation wasn't fazed by the quick strike by the Trojans. Sixteen minutes later, UCLA's speed kicked in, and Darian Jenkins knocked in a centering pass to level things 1-1. USC kept coming, though. Megan Borman chipped the ball over UCLA goalkeeper Alana Munger for a chance, but it was cleared out by a UCLA defender. USC keeper Caroline Stanley handled the next two UCLA tries with a couple nice saves, and soon after it was Katie Johnson putting Munger to the test. She'd make the stop on Johnson's blast, and Marlee Carrillo's next shot went wide, leaving the game locked up 1-1 at halftime.

The second half belonged to the Bruins, unfortunately. The quick UCLA front line caused some trouble for the Trojans, as the Bruins managed to break through for three goals in the last 45 minutes. Sam Mewis, Rosie White and Taylor Smith all tallied goals for UCLA, while USC came up empty at the other end. That wrapped the game up as a 4-1 UCLA victory in USC's final match of 2013.
