It's been almost three months since the USC women's soccer team made history in winning the 2007 NCAA Championship, but the Women of Troy aren't planning on coasting into the 2008 season to come. Spring means training, lifting and scrimmaging, and the Trojans have their offseason plan of attack all lined up. USC kicked off the spring with a high-profile exhibition match against the Mexican National Team, which is preparing for Olympic qualification. In the coming weeks, the Trojans will settle in at their home turf of McAlister Field to host a series of spring scrimmages to further condition and prep for next season's defense of the national title.

This week, USC hosts San Diego and Minnesota at McAlister Field for two scrimmages on Friday (Feb. 29). Also set to visit Troy this spring is Cal State Northridge on March 29, and Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly in a doubleheader on April 12. More scrimmages may be added. Below is the tentative spring scrimmage schedule for USC:

Friday, Feb. 29 (at McAlister Field)
11 a.m. - USC vs. San Diego
3 p.m. - USC vs. Minnesota

Saturday, March 29 (at McAlister Field)
9:30 a.m. - USC vs. Cal State Northridge
12 p.m. - USC vs. PV Blue

Saturday, April 5 (at McAlister Field)
10 a.m. - USC vs. LMU
1 p.m. - USC vs. Ajax

Saturday, April 12 (at McAlister Field)
9:30 a.m. - USC vs. Cal State San Bernardino
12 p.m. - USC vs. Cal Poly
