Women's Soccer Announces 2015 Recruiting Class for Upcoming Season

    LOS ANGELES - Second-year head coach Keidane McAlpine and his staff announce the signing of six student-athletes for the 2015 USC women's soccer recruiting class.

    The class includes forwards Erika Okuma, Olga Langensköild, Hailey Hite, McKenzie Taylor, midfielder Nikki Rosen and center back Ally Prisock and they are set to see their first action this upcoming fall.

    On the class, which includes five players from California and one from Sweden, McAlpine said, "We are excited to add such great young women, gifted students, and talented soccer players to our program. As we strive to build on the foundation of last season, we expect these women to impact our future in a significant way."

    Both Prisock and Okuma joined the Trojans in January and had a chance to be a part of the spring season. Prisock, a US Soccer Youth National Team player, is a top-level center back who has been a member of the Cal South ODP and Region IV teams since she was 13 years old. A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Prisock prepped at Rancho Cucamonga HS where she earned three letters. She played club for Legends FC where she helped her team to the U15 Youth Soccer National Championship in 2012. Overall she has led her club team to the regional title in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2014 and the state championship in 2012 and 2013. She also participated in the ECNL Invitational Camp in 2013.

    Okuma, a native of Rolling Hills, Calif., is an ODP Region IV player, and her team won the US Youth Soccer ODP National Championship in 2013. The Peninsula HS graduate joined the Trojans in January as she works through an injury. A part of the top-flight club So Cal Blues, Okuma led her team to the ECNL Southern California League title in 2012 and 2013, along with the Surf Cup title from 2012-13.



    Hite, a graduate of Tesoro High School, is an unbelievable goal scorer who leads her club squad, West Coast FC in goals scored. That squad is currently ranked No. 1 on the west coast in the U17 age group and No. 3 nationally. A member of the US Youth Soccer ODP pool in 2011, Hite has led her teams to the Far West Regional League title in 2011 and the Surf Cup title in 2012. She also excels in the classroom, where she won the Tesoro High Soccer Scholar Athlete Award.

    Langensköild, a member of the U17 Swedish National Team, will join the Trojans in 2015 out of Stockholm, Sweden. She competed for the top team in Sweden, Vatans IK, where she won 32 championships, including two Gothia Cup Gold Medals in 2010 and 2011. A strong, targeting forward, Langensköild is the current starter for the women's elite A team, Djurgarden.

    Rosen, who like Okuma is a native of Rolling Hills, Calif., is a strong midfielder with the technical ability and vision to read the game quickly. Rosen prepped at Palos Verdes HS, where she earned four varsity letters and was the team's Offensive Player of the Year from 2012-14. She also earned All-Bay League honors from 2012-14. A member of the So Cal Blues, she led her team to the ECNL playoffs and finals in 2013 and 2014, along with the ECNL Southern California Conference championship in 2012 and 2013.

    Taylor, a four-year starter at Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., will provide depth for the Trojan attack. A member of the Cal South ODP Program from 2009-14, she also was a Region IV pool player from 2009-13. She currently is the captain of her club team, the Inland Empire Surf. Taylor is also an outstanding student, as she received the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence in 2014.
