USC senior-to-be Amy Rodriguez punched in her fifth goal in her 22nd appearance with the U.S. National Team. Named to the U.S Olympic Team headed for Beijing, Rodriguez - the first Trojan to be named to women's soccer Olympic roster - tallied the game-winning goal for the United States in a friendly against Brazil on Sunday in Colorado.

It was Rodriguez' second game-winner against Brazil and third of her U.S. career. In the USA's last match against Brazil, Rodriguez scored in the 41st minute on the way to a 1-0 USA win in the Peace Queen Cup on June 17. Today, Rodriguez slammed in the winner in the 71st minute, again lifting Team USA to a 1-0 victory.

Now 20-0-1 overall in 2008, the United States is in its final stretch of competition before leaving for Beijing. Rodriguez and Team USA will be playing Brazil in another friendly this week, heading to San Diego on Wednesday (July 16) for a 7 p.m. match at Torero Stadium.
