Molen Leads 11 Trojans Earning Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

    SAN FRANCISCO – 11 total Trojans earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors, led by junior midfielder Nicole Molen, who earned Pac-12 All-Academic First Team honors, while 10 Trojans earned honorable mention.

    To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team’s games.

    The Trojans have tallied 10 honorable mention honorees for the second-straight season. This year’s honorees include Moriah Earley, Kayla Mills, Savannah Levin, Mandy Freeman, Sammy Jo Prudhomme, Hailey Hite, Amanda Rooney, Sydney Johnson, Katie Johnson and Sydney Sladek.

    Molen earned First Team honors for the second-straight season. The Westlake Village, Calif., native boasts an impressive 3.92 GPA as a human biology major. She earned CoSIDA District 8 All-Academic First Team honors for the second-straight season. She represented the Trojans as an NCAA Elite 90 honoree, having the highest team GPA for the Trojans playing in the College Cup.

     

     

    Seniors Savannah Levin, Moriah Earley and Kayla Mills earned All-Academic honors for the third-straight season. Earley was named to the second-team last season. Katie Johnson earned All-Academic honors for the third season, while Mandy Freeman was named to the team for the first time in her career. Redshirt senior Sammy Jo Prudhomme also earned honorable mention honors after being named to the CoSIDA District 8 All-Academic First Team.

    Joining Freeman as first-team honorees includes junior Amanda Rooney and sophomore Hailey Hite. Juniors Sydney Johnson and Sydney Sladek both earned honorable mention honors for the second-straight season.
