Prudhomme Named an NSCAA Scholar All-American

    LOS ANGELES - After earning NSCAA Scholar-Athlete First Team All-West Region honors, senior goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme was named an NSCAA Scholar All-American third team selection, it was announced today.

    Prudhomme, an Aliso Viejo, Calif., native, boasts a 3.32 GPA as a communication major. The senior was outstanding in the NCAA College Cup, including an eight-save final as the Trojans went on to defeat West Virginia 3-1 en route to the program's second NCAA Championship.

    Prudhomme has racked up the honors this postseason, including being named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Pac-12 and Second Team All-Pacific Region honors. Academically she earned CoSIDA All-District 8 First Team honors, along with being a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention selection.
