    LOS ANGELES -- The top-ranked USC beach volleyball team (4-0) takes its 34-match winning streak to the islands this week for seven contests over the course of three days. The Women of Troy will take on Nebraska (1-0) and No. 4 Florida State (4-2) in neutral matches on Thursday, March 16, on Queen's Beach. The Trojans then face five teams in the Outrigger Hawai'i Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i, also on Queen's Beach. On Friday (March 17), USC meets Nebraska again and will tangle with new Pac-12 foe Utah (1-4). On Saturday (March 18), the Trojans have duals against No. 7-ranked Arizona (4-2), Florida State once more, and No. 5-ranked host Hawai'i (8-0) to conclude their spring break. USC has won 66 of its last 68 duals dating back to the beginning of 2015.

    The No. 3-ranked USC beach volleyball team (8-2) secured a 5-0 sweep of Nebraska (1-2) in the semifinals of the Hawai'i Invitational on Queen's Beach on Saturday, March 19. The Women of Troy won their fourth straight dual and produced their fourth 5-0 sweep of the season. The Trojans will now face No. 5-ranked host Hawai'i (3-4) in the dual final at 4:30 p.m. HT (7:30 PT).

    USC Makes History as First-Ever NCAA Beach Volleyball Champion
    Top-ranked USC (34-2) cemented its place in history with a 3-0 win over No. 2 Florida State (32-3) by a 3-0 count in the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship on the sands of Gulf Place on Sunday, May 8. The Women of Troy completed the year on an incredible 30-match winning streak and secured back-to-back national titles in beach volleyball as the defending AVCA champions of 2015. Junior All-Americans Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes were chosen to the NCAA all-tournament team as the pair from the No. 1 position and sophomore Jo Kremer and senior Zoe Nightingale were all-tournament selections at the No. 5 spot.

    Collier Wins 100th As No. 1 USC Captures Aloha Invitational Crown
    The No. 1-ranked USC beach volleyball team (26-2) defeated No. 5 Hawai'i (13-8) by a 3-0 count to capture the 2016 Outrigger Resorts Aloha Invitational title on the sands of Queen's Beach on Saturday, April 23. The win made head coach Anna Collier the first collegiate beach coach to reach the 100-victory milestone. The Trojans also extended their winning streak to 22 consecutive duals; the second longest streak in program history.

    No. 1 USC Wins Inaugural Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship
    The top-seeded and No. 1-ranked USC beach volleyball team (30-2) defeated third-seeded No. 6 Arizona (18-5) in a 3-0 sweep to claim the first-ever Pac-12 Championship at Merle Norman Stadium on Sunday, May 1. The Women of Troy won their 26th straight match and will now await selection into the first-ever NCAA championship.

    LAST TIME OUT: Despite fielding a modified lineup due to illnesses, the Women of Troy picked up a pair of 4-1 victories over No. 12-ranked Florida International and No. 10 Louisiana State at the East Meets West Invitational on Manhattan Beach sand over the weekend. Seniors Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes earned their 77th consecutive win as a pair while junior Terese Cannon and senior Nicolette Martin moved up a slot to No. 2 and put two straight-set wins in the books and served as the clinching point in both duals. The Trojans won their 33rd and 34th straight dual matches to extend on their record winning streak.

    SCOUTING REPORT: Two of USC's opponents this week hold wins over the Trojans. Only four teams in all can boast victories over USC. Florida State has three and Hawai'i has one. The Trojans are 5-0 all-time against Nebraska and defeated the Cornhuskers twice in Hawai'i in 2016. Nebraska has played just one dual this season, but is 1-0 overall. USC holds a two-match winning streak over Florida State and is 4-3 all-time against the Seminoles. The last two wins came in the semifinals and final of the 2016 NCAA championship. FSU is coming off a pair of losses at the East Meets West Invitational to UCLA and Pepperdine. USC and Utah will meet for the first time in the two programs' histories. The Utes are 1-4 in their first year and hold a 5-0 win over San Francisco for their lone victory. USC and Arizona meet for the sixth time. The Trojans are 5-0 in all-time meetings with the Wildcats and last faced Arizona in the finals of the 2016 Pac-12 Championship. USC is 10-1 all-time against Hawai'i and holds a six-match winning steak over the Wahine. Hawai'i is undefeated in eight matches this season.

    ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS: On Saturday, April 23, 2016, USC defeated Hawai'i, 3-0, to make head coach Anna Collier the first and only collegiate beach volleyball coach to reach the 100 career victories mark. She is currently 112-17 (.868) all-time. The next closest coach is Pepperdine's Nina Matthies who is 88-14 (.863).

    SENIOR CITIZENS: The Trojans' seniors Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes are the winningest pair in program history. The duo has won 96 matches (3 losses) together over the course of a three-year relationship. Seniors Nicolette Martin and Allie Wheeler formed the second-most successful duo in school history from 2014-16 as they amassed 91 victories (91-14) through the end of the 2016 NCAA championship run. Claes and Hughes own the USC single-season record for wins with a 48-0 mark achieved in 2016.

    LET'S GO STREAKING: USC set a new program record to close the 2016 season as winners of 30 consecutive matches. The streak carried into the 2017 campaign and now stands at 34 straight wins. Seniors Kelly Claes and Sara Hughes have won 77 straight matches dating back to April 2, 2015. During that streak, the two Trojans have lost just six sets (only one in 2016). The dynamic duo won 25 straight matches to close the 2015 season as AVCA National Pairs Champions and finished with a final mark of 44-3. They then went undefeated in 2016 with a 48-0 record.
