LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- The No. 12 USC women's tennis team dominated the courts at Marks Stadium today with a comfortable 4-0 sweep of visiting Oregon. The Women of Troy started out with a bang by taking the doubles point, and they kept their momentum going through the rest of the match. The home win improves USC's record to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in Pac-12 play this season.

USC swiftly finished the doubles and grabbed the early 1-0 lead in the match. USC seniors Brynn Boren and Kaitlyn Christian defeated Oregon's Long/Minor 8-1 on court one to set the tone. Similarly, Trojan juniors Gabriella DeSimone and Zoë Scandalis claimed their own 8-1 victory over H. Hueffner/ K. Hueffner to send the teams on to singles action.

In singles, Gabriella DeSimone served up a shutout of Oregon's Sofia Hager with two powerful sets to complete a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at the No. 3 spot. #26 Zoë Scandalis quickly followed with USC's second singles victory of the match, giving away only two sets against Nicole Long 6-0, 6-2 on court one. Finally, Brynn Boren wrapped up Jasmine Minor 6-1, 6-1 to secure victory for the Women of Troy, as the remaining matches were suspended with USC holding the 4-0 win. On court four, #69 Giuliana Olmos had turned around an 0-5 start and claimed the next eight games to take the lead in that one. Kaitlyn Christian, too, was on a tear in her No. 5 match, and #90 Zoë Katz had the advantage in her No. 6 singles slot when play was suspended.

Trojans will return to Marks Stadium to host Washington State at 12 p.m. tomorrow (March 29) for another Pac-12 matchup.
