WACO, TEXAS -- USC women's tennis remains well-represented in NCAA action after singles and doubles victories in today's NCAA Round of 32 at Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. Senior standout Sabrina Santamaria whipped up another solid singles win to lock in on her third set of ITA All-American honors in the singles realm. In doubles, USC's Giuliana Olmos and Zoë Scandalis got out of the gates with a Round of 32 victory to advance to tomorrow's Round of 16.

In singles play, senior Sabrina Santamaria stayed the course in her Round of 32 matchup. The #24 Santamaria kept Florida's #58 Belinda Woolcock at bay as she pumped out a 6-3, 6-3 win that takes the senior on to the Round of 16. There, Santamaria will square off against UCLA's top-seeded Robin Anderson to fight for a spot in the Quarterfinals, which Santamaria last reached as a freshman in 2012. Santamaria takes on Anderson tomorrow (May 22) at 10 a.m. CT.

USC freshman Madison Westby had a tough draw in coming up against #22 Ema Burgic of Baylor in today's Round of 32. Westby showed her strength in snagging the second set to force a third, but the Bears' top gun got up a break in the third and held on to beat Westby 6-0, 3-6, 6-4. Westby wraps her freshman campaign with a 25-11 overall singles record.

Junior Giuliana Olmos also wrapped up her singles season today, falling 6-2, 6-4 to Rice's #32 Natalie Beazant. Olmos was the Trojan's winningest singles player this season, going 38-13 overall on the year.

In the doubles realm, Olmos was back in winning mode. Paired up with senior Zoë Scandalis, the two Women of Troy served up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Nevada's Delic/Morales-Hidalgo in today's opening Round of 32. The win betters the duo's outing in last year's NCAA action, when they fell in the first round. Tomorrow, Olmos/Scandalis will battle it out with No. 4 seeded Gumulya/Rompies of Clemson at 12:30 p.m. CT tomorrow.

USC's Santamaria and sophomore Zoë Katz were not as successful today in their doubles battle. #24 Katz/Santamaria went up against UNC's power pair of #16 Loeb/Price in the Round of 32. The Trojans snagged the first set, but the Tar Heels fired back and won it 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 to wrap Katz/Santamaria's 2015 campaign with a 13-6 overall record together. In her USC career, Santamaria posted a 97-25 overall doubles record, including the 2013 NCAA Doubles Championship claimed alongside Kaitlyn Christian. Santamaria missed last year's NCAA competition after suffering a season-ending ACL injury in early 2014.
