LOS ANGELES -- The No. 1-ranked USC women's volleyball team (30-2) received the No. 1 seed in the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship and will host Horizon League champion Cleveland State (26-6) at Galen Center in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Pac-12 co-champion Women of Troy make their 25th consecutive appearance in the NCAA's championship tournament; the program's 33rd overall.

In the other first-round match, Big Sky Champion Northern Arizona (28-4) and San Diego (21-9) will meet at 5 p.m. on Dec. 3. The two first-round winners advance to round two for a match on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. All three first- and second-round matches will be streamed live on USC's Pac-12 Network web portal at

The Trojans will host first- and second-round matches for the 12th time in 13 years and for the 21st time since 1992. USC is 14-2 in NCAA tournament matches at the Galen Center. Overall, the Trojans are 128-21 (.859) all-time at the Galen Center and went 16-1 this season.

The Women of Troy last met Cleveland State in 1984 and claimed a 2-0 win over the Vikings in the teams' only all-time meeting. The Trojans have also faced Northern Arizona once (2009) and won, 3-0, against the Lumberjacks. The Trojans and the Toreros have met 10 times all-time. USC owns a 9-1 mark over USD.

The Trojans hold a 119-36 (.768) all-time postseason record and are 73-29 (.716) in the NCAA tournament. USC has won six national championships including the first-ever NCAA title awarded in 1981. The Trojans also won back-to-back crowns in 2002 and 2003 and are the holders of three AIAW titles (1976, '77, '80).

Since the NCAA expanded to a field of 64 teams in 1998, the Women of Troy have advanced to 10 regional championship matches, seven national semifinals (final four), and two national finals (both victories). Including the pair of NCAA title runs, USC is 43-12 in NCAA tournament matches under head coach Mick Haley. Last year, the Trojans were eliminated from the tournament in a four-set loss to seventh-seeded North Carolina in the second round.
