At tonight's homestand finale vs. the Colorado Rockies at Petco Park, the San Diego Padres will honor the University of San Diego wommen's and men's basketball programs in a pre-game ceremony. Gyno Pomare will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the men and Amanda Rego will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the women.
First pitch is at 7:05 p.m., with the pre-game ceremony slated to begin at around 6:55 p.m. If you're unable to attend the game, you can still catch the action and support the university by tuning into Cox Channel 4 San Diego, as USD will be spotlighted via our "University of .." commercial campaign throughout the TV broadcast.
Students, faculty and staff who would like to attend can purchase tickets through the Padres Ticket Office at 1-877-FRIAR TIX, or go to Padre Tickets for more information on prices and best available seating.
