LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will continue its spring schedule this weekend as it travels to Provo, Utah to compete in the PING Cougar Classic on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19. The two-day tournament, hosted by BYU, will be held at the Riverside Country Club in Provo.

The 54-hole tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday with two rounds of continuous play. The final 18 holes will be played Saturday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. The Riverside CC is a par-72 course with a total yardage of 6,950.

The 14-team playing field consists of Air Force, Boise State, BYU, Idaho State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Sacramento State, No. 46 Saint Mary's, Utah, Utah State, Utah Valley State, Washington State, Weber State and Wyoming.

Competing for the Aggies will be juniors Devin Daniels (Hyde Park, Utah), Tyler Labrum (Roosevelt, Utah), Jeremy Pack (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Toph Peterson (Logan, Utah), and freshman Dan Heath (Smithfield, Utah).

Utah State is coming off its best performance of the season as it finished in fifth-place at the Cal Poly Men's Intercollegiate on March 27-28 as Daniels shot even-par during the tournament to finish sixth individually. Daniels has been Utah State's top finisher five times this year and has a scoring average of 73.58 in 19 total rounds, which includes a 54-hole low of 204.

At last year's PING Cougar Classic, Utah State tied for 14th-place overall (297-298-296--891), while Preston Otte led USU with a one-under par 215 with rounds of 73, 70 and 72.
