Utah State Women's Basketball Heads To Nevada On Saturday

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's women's basketball team begins a four-game road stretch, starting at Reno, Nev. against Nevada on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. (MT) in UNR's Lawlor Events Center.

Utah State is 6-13 on the season after dropping a 71-56 contest to Louisiana Tech on Saturday. USU, who is seventh in the WAC with a 2-5 league record, is led by junior guard Danyelle Snelgro who is averaging 10.4 points, 2.95 assists and 2.53 steals per game, while senior guard Taylor Richards is averaging 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.68 assists per game. As a team, Utah State is first in the WAC in free throw percentage (.734), second in steals (9.58 spg), second in three-point field goal percentage (.334) and sixth in assists (11.68 apg).

Nevada, who is 14-6 overall and fourth in the WAC with a 5-2 league record, fell to Fresno State, 81-49, on Thursday. The Wolf Pack is led by Dellena Criner's 17.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, while Mikail Price is averaging 10.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. As a team, Nevada leads the WAC in steals (12.90 spg) and is third in three-point percentage (.331).

Saturday is the seventh meeting between the Aggies and the Wolf Pack, as the series is tied at 3-3. Utah State won the first meeting last season, 59-44, on Feb. 15, 2007 in Logan, while Nevada won on March 1, 2007, 61-49, in Reno.

USU continues conference action on the road at Hawai'i (8-12, 2-5 WAC) on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 10 p.m. (MT) at UH's Stan Sheriff Center.
