Fresh off Friday's big win in which Utah State posted season-highs on three events plus the team total, the Aggie gymnastics team will have its second meet in a four-day span when they tangle with in-state foe Brigham Young on Monday, March 10 at 4 p.m. at BYU's Smith Fieldhouse.

Utah State is 4-10 overall after Friday's win while BYU is 5-5 after knocking off another Beehive State team in 23rd-ranked Southern Utah, 194.550-193.300 Friday night at Provo.

Live stats for Monday's meet are available through BYU's web site: http://www.byucougars.com/webcast/gymnastics/20080310/.

The 42nd-ranked Aggies are coming off a 194.450-194.125 win over No. 35 San Jose State this past Friday in which USU tallied a season-high team score, topping the previous season-best of 192.700 set back on Jan. 22. In three of the four events, the Aggies also posted their best scores of the season, including a 49.050 on floor in the final rotation to seal the win for USU and was also the first 49.000 or higher in any event this season.

For the third meet in a row, USU posted a season-best as a team on bars, tallying a 48.750 Friday. The Aggies also recorded a season-high 48.125 on beam, having zero falls.

All together, the Aggies set or tied 10 season-highs individually in addition to the four team scores.

Leading the way in the season-high parade was sophomore Heather Heinrich who registered a career-high in not just the all-around but floor as well with 39.000 and 9.850, respectively, in winning the all-around and tying for first on floor. The 39.000 ranks Heinrich tied for eighth on the WAC top 10 list in the event.

Friday night, BYU's Altethea Boon tied for first in the all-around with a 38.975, finishing tied for second on vault (9.825), tied for third on bars (9.750), tied for sixth on floor (9.675) and placing seventh on beam (9.725).

The Aggies are 38-57-1 all-time against the Cougars, including 6-23-1 at Provo. Utah State and BYU met earlier this season in a tri-meet with New Hampshire on Feb. 15 at Logan. USU ended with 192.425 points, behind BYU's 193.725 points and ahead of UNH's 190.900. Monday is the Aggies' first trip to Provo since a tri-meet with Oregon State last year on March 9. Oregon State won with a 195.375, followed by BYU's 195.125 and USU's 194.675.

After a trip to Denton, Texas on Friday, March 14 for a quad meet hosted by Texas Woman's with Kentucky and Centenary, the Aggies return home on Friday, March 21 to host in-state foe Southern Utah at 6:30 p.m.

That is USU's final home meet of the season and will be "Senior Night" as the Aggies will honor their four seniors: Tschida, Katie Omann, Kelly Patterson and Ana Rickard-Whitfield.
