Brown University invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach, Cross Country/Track and Field. This position will assist the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country in all phases of the track and cross-country program within the rules of the NCAA and Ivy League. This includes recruiting prospective student-athletes, coaching and teaching of student-athletes and administrative duties. The University is committed to excellence in academics and athletics, gender equity, diversity and a well-balanced, broad based intercollegiate athletics program dedicated to the concept of the student-athlete. Bachelor's Degree, experience in middle-distance/distance events, one to three years collegiate coaching experience at the high school level and/or collegiate cross-country/track experience; collegiate coaching experience preferred; and the ability to recruit within University, NCAA and Ivy League rules. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR certification (certification is available at no cost through the Athletic Department). The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
