Wayne State College (Nebraska) - Graduate Assistant (Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps/Multi) - Men's & Women's Track & Field

Wayne State College (Wayne, Nebraska - NCAA Div. II, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) is accepting applications for a graduate assistant coaching position for the men's & women's track and field/cross country program for the fall of 2008.

Position: Graduate Assistant Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps/Multi Coach. Starting date: August 2008

Duties: The selected applicant will be coaching men and women's track and field in the sprints, hurdles, jumps, and multi events. The graduate assistant will be responsible for all phases of the sprints, hurdles, jumps, and multi program including but not limited to the development and/or implementation of teaching drills and technical skills, a training schedule, strength and conditioning program, and recruiting potential student athletes. There will also be responsibilities in home meet management, fundraising, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree is required. Applicants should also have previous athletic or coaching experience in the following sprints, hurdles, jumps, and multi-events. Strong computer skills are preferable. We are seeking a candidate who has a desire to move on to a full-time coaching position.

Compensation: A full-time assistantship will include a stipend of $4000 and tuition waiver with student paying university fees.
